The Gambia

Gambia is now Ed's home after spending years travelling back and forth since the nineties. During the Covid pandemic he wasn't able to return to the UK for a year and half and this was the catalyst for developing a project there. Ed linked up with a crew of young DJs and started putting on events under the name of ONENESS Sound. The problem was that they didn't have a sound system, and the quality of the equipment available just became more and more frustrating for him, coming form UK sound system experience.

in 2021 Ed surprised the ONENESS crew by shipping a whole load of equipment from the UK including Dende Sound system's original bass section and some other donated speakers, and so DENDE SOUND GAMBIA was born.

Since then, Ed has shipped more sound equipment every year and the project is always growing and developing.

The Vision

We are on a mission to develop a sustainable business with our sound systems, offering an international level sound system experience with the best DJs and cleanest, heaviest sound quality. Dende Sound Intl. provides a platform for young talent and opportunities for the Gambian youth to uplift them selves, develop skills and co-create a more positive hopeful culture for us all to thrive within.

Meet the Crew

The Dende Sound crew in The Gambia is like an extended family with almost 10 Djs and the same amount of young helpers, Box-Boys, MCs and technicians that work tirelessly to keep the show on the Road.

Each DJ has their own style and genre of music that they specialise in from Reggae and Dancehall to Afro Beats, Amapiano, and more locally grown Gam-vibez, Mbalax and various cultural musical styles.

Our Selectors Include Dj Hardcore, Dj Juniorz, Dj Badman and DJ Anchor who have been part of the family since the journey began in 2020.

The new generation includes Dj Bob Digital, DJ Ben Black,

Dj Delco, Dj Princess Bella, Dj Zoom Delco, DJ Skelo and MC Wanted.

We work with many other local DJs and MCs and could not run the events without the rest of the crew of young helpers. A special shout out goes to Alkaline, our young technician / mechanic and studio manager, Hodus, Mbass, Charles Taylor. Zidu and Omar ... I told you it was an extended family!!!!

Our Sound Systems

We are always developing our sound systems and have a wide range of options suitable for all kinds of events.

GREEN BASS SOUND

A versatile and popular sound system suitable for medium sized venues, house parties, and out door events with 4 powerful tapped-horn style bass section

4 SCOOP SOUND

A big sound system with 4 traditional scoop bass bins giving you a serious rumbling B-line, 15 inch mids, compression drivers tops, and super tweeters for a clear crisp high end. Suitable for large venues and out door events. A majestic sound system for sure

THE BIGGEST SOUND

By combining both of our large sound systems with a couple of extra scoops we can offer an epic rig for running large stages or just a high impact bass line experience like no other.

Events

We offer sound systems for all kinds of events including festival stages, night clubs, house parties, beach bars, school inter-house events, football tournaments, weddings, naming ceremonies and even Quranic recitations, political ralIies, and company meetings. Music plays a central part in most community gatherings in The Gambia and so everyone loves a sound system!

FESTIVAL STAGES

We love to run stages for festivals and shows whether for live bands, Djs or Artists. We have backed many large events including REGGAE ABENE SUNSPLASH, LUV AFRIKA FEST, DARANKA CARNIVAL and many more.

Dende Sound has also backed many Gambian artists including Attack, An2, Uche, Hussein Dada, Big Fa and many others.

We can offer high quality sound, great Djs, lighting, banners, power generators and top vibes for your event.

CLUB NIGHTS

Gambians love to party all night long BA SUBA until the morning. Dende Sound System is out playing every Friday and Saturday night for the youth bringing the latest vibes to the dance floor and hosting some of the countries hottest DJs including DJ Sylva, DJ Ziggler and the original reggae sounds of Legal Sound and DJ Fireman.

SPORTS EVENTS

We provide sound systems for local school sports events and football tournaments and are proud to work with the amazing Gambino's Star Academy for many of their events.
